Grubb & Ellis|BRE Commercial announced that the multi-tenant retail building at 7643-7645 Girard Ave. in La Jolla was sold for $6.6 million.
The 10,700-square-foot property includes three of La Jolla's antique retailers: Ark Antiques, Pied-e-Terre, and Skolout and Tilghman. The new owner plans to continue the previous use of the building with all tenants staying in the location.
The property was sold by Girard Avenue Investments, LLC, and was bought by Broadway & 9th LP, a local buyer planning to upgrade and improve the property, which features 100 feet of retail frontage along La Jolla's Girard Avenue in what has become known as a local mini-interior design district.
The seller was represented by Slattery of Grubb & Ellis|BRE Commercial, along with Trenton Bonner of Trenton Bonner Coastal Real Estate. The buyer represented itself in the transaction.
