   News Poll

Vice presidential contender Sarah Palin seems to generate strong reactions. What is yours?
I love her. She's real and relates to regular folks.
She seems nice enough, but I'm not sure she's ready to be vice president.
I liked her at first but become less impressed every day.
I despise her and everything she stands for.
Sarah who?

Bird Rock Pedestrian Crosswalks
The construction on La Jolla Boulevard has finally completed and, for the most part, seems to be a vast improvement; however, the crosswalk signal lights at Colima and Midway have already stopped working. The result is that pedestrians are left to fend for themselves or need to rely upon the kindness of drivers to stop for them. While it's not nearly as bad as it used to be (people have been killed crossing the street in the past), it seems that the signals should be repaired and operational, as they are at Forward, Bird Rock Ave. and Camino de la Costa. Thanks for your help!!!
