Early December will be a busy time at the La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club.
The United States Tennis Association National 40 Hart Court Championship returns to the club, which will also host the National Father and Son and Grandfather and Grandson Hard Court Championships the first week of the month.
Men and women over 39 will compete in singles, doubles and mixed doubles during the Dec. 1-7 event. Former touring pros and some of the nation's best age-group players are expected to participate.
Fathers and sons and grandfathers and grandsons will be playing Dec 5-7. The father-son matches have been played at the club since 1959.
