The La Jolla Recreation Center was built in 1915 by Ellen Browning-Scripps whose residence was next door. It was dedicated that same year to the City of San Diego for the children of La Jolla. Today the Center is considered a historical site in San Diego.
Recreation Center Hours Monday & Friday: 9:00 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday: 9:00 a.m. to 7:45 p.m. Saturday: 9:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Sunday: CLOSED *Times are subject to change
Facilities Basketball courts, 3 large children's play areas, picnic facilities, community building and 2 meeting rooms, tennis courts
Although the La Jolla Light does not have any obligation to monitor this board, the La Jolla Light reserves the right at all times to check this board and to remove any information or materials that are unlawful, threatening, abusive, libelous, defamatory, obscene, vulgar, pornographic, profane, indecent or otherwise objectionable to the La Jolla Light in our sole discretion and to disclose any information necessary to satisfy the law, regulation, or government request.
